For existing customers, registration for the IRIS service will be requested—your POS or SoftPOS application simply needs to be active and connected to receive the upgrade.

-
Ιs accepting IRIS payments mandatory?
From 1.12.2025, many businesses are required by law to accept payments via instant transfers, such as IRIS. The obligation depends on the business activity and its industry classification code (KAD).
We recommend consulting your accountant or the official announcements for your specific category.
-
Are there any fees for using IRIS?There are no subscription or setup fees. Per-transaction fees may apply, based on the pricing policy of National Bank of Greece. For more info, contact us directly.
-
How is the QR code displayed for the customer?
Depending on the type of terminal:
- On Android POS: the QR code appears directly on the screen.
- On older-generation terminals: the QR code is printed.
- On SoftPOS: the QR code appears within the application.
For the best experience, an Android POS with a display is recommended.
